Bub Carrington Drafted by the Washington Wizards

Carlton "Bub" Carrington, a Baltimore native who played local AAU ball with Team Melo and attended St. Frances Academy, was selected by the Washington Wizards with the No. 14 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday night.
Carrington, a 6'6" combo guard, was a four-star high school prospect and ended up signing with Pitt as part of the 2021 recruiting class. He played two seasons with the Panthers, averaging 14.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game as a sophomore.
Carrington is known for his athleticism, playmaking ability, and versatility. He is a skilled ball-handler and passer who can create for himself and others. He is also a good defender who can guard multiple positions.
The Wizards are hoping that Carrington can be a key piece of their future. He is a young, talented player who has a lot of upside. He is a hard worker and is eager to learn and improve.
